What “Double Layer” means

Facial fat sits in more than one layer. Many facial liposuction methods remove a small amount from a single layer. At Target, the surgeon treats the superficial layer and the deep layer in the same operation, sculpting each area three-dimensionally. Reducing volume in both layers is what allows the face to look smaller while the line stays even, without lumps.

• Volume and firmness together — removing both layers slims the face and helps the skin sit closer to the new contour.
• Micro-cannulas made for the face — the clinic uses its own purpose-designed fine cannulas to limit swelling, bruising and damage to surrounding tissue.
• Selective removal — the fat is softened first, then fat cells are removed while the fibrous septa between them are preserved.

Which areas can be treated

The mid-cheek hollow is not suctioned. The face is planned in three zones — chin, cheeks and malar area — so that the result looks like one continuous line rather than separate patches.

Recovery and aftercare

Facial liposuction at Target is a day surgery of about 30 minutes per area. Because the small entry points are not stitched, there are no sutures to remove — one reason patients who fly in and out on the same day choose this method. Whether a same-day flight suits you is confirmed by the surgeon.

Combining with other procedures

Because the operation is done under sedation, other treatments can be added in the same session when they suit you:

• Thread lift when there is sagging as well as volume
• Jaw (masseter) Botox when the chewing muscle is large
• Double-chin muscle tightening when the chin skin sags (this one is sutured)
• Buccal fat removal when deep cheek fat is large (dissolvable stitches)
